The SECA 755 model is one of the first mechanical column scales that also offers a function for assessing the nutritional status of the person being weighed based on the BMI index.

When a person steps onto the platform, a "BMI disc" divided into sectors of different colors rotates under the large, round, and very precise dial of this scale. These sectors are visible in a small window placed next to a size scale. This scale allows the BMI interval corresponding to the weighing result to be determined, with the different colors corresponding to underweight, normal weight, overweight or adiposity (pathological overweight). The flat surface of the platform and practical transport wheels are further advantages of the SECA 755 scale .
